Snowy Perspective

For those of you, like me, who are tired of the snow and cold this winter ... I offer you this thought (courtesy of our brilliant pastor):

"What do you think those Christians in Pakistan, India and Africa ... who are persecuted and killed for attending Mass ... would think of us complaining about the ice, the cold, and the reduced number of parking spaces due to the piles of snow?"

I wonder what they think of most of our "problems", for that matter?

God, I thank you for all you have given me - especially for those things that I take for granted every day.

God Bless.

Amen, Michael. You are right on the mark as usual. Often our complaints are ridiculous when we look at the big picture. Thanks for the reminder of how blessed we are.

Michael,
Your post puts everything into proper perspective. I will cease my wintry complaining. As a recent Christian musical artist sang, I need to remember how big I'm blessed! and also pray for those whose blessing comes through suffering and persecution.
Thanks and God bless!

We had a priest from the Phillipines give a sermon on this subject, only he told the story about how a gunman came into the church and started shooting during the Mass, some people were killed, and he was hit. I thank God for the country I live in, even if the weather gets nasty!

Thanks for this little wake up message, which can help with everyday frustrations. This is very true. We should be grateful for the freedom and luxuries that we enjoy... Gratitude enriches our lives and allows us to feel our lives' true meaning.
